Pastor
Lena Augustine has her hands full. As pastor she feeds her sheep
with the word and works tirelessly behind the scenes with women
who are hurting. As a widow her life is totally surrendered to God
and His work through her. Pastor Lena Augustine flourishes her life
with constant prayer and holds weekly group prayer meetings with
prayer warriors. To know her is to spend time with her. On the flip
side you will be amazed by her love for electronics and gadgets.
However, one of the most impressive aspects of Pastor Lena Augustine’s
life is her willingness to assist children in need on the island
of Dominica.
Currently
she conducts a feeding program within her church for the children
of the Mahaut village. Over 55 children are blessed daily by this
program. I grew up in the village of Mahaut and later worked there.
I know what it is like for these children and their parents. There
are many more mouths to feed but despite the fact that the program
is endorsed by the Government of Dominica, the number of helpless
children are growing and funds are limited.
